Tea Tree Oil! Is it hyped?

Tea tree is counted as one of the best essential oils. When I was searching for the same, I got to know how it is made by steaming the leaves of Australian Tea Tree. No wonder why it is too costly, but I must say, it is yet so effective! And hence, I decided to share some of the best ways to use Tea tree. To be honest, I did not use tea tree for a very long time because I thought maybe it’s a hyped product. But when I started using it, I could see why it is counted as one of the best essential oils.

So, ladies and gentlemen, get ready to know the love story of me and tea tree oil! Haha, jokes apart…

Let me list you it’s benefits which I tried and I would say, tea tree oil succeeds in all of them ! Apart from my personal experiences, I would be sharing some issues which I found are most commonly faced by us in daily life and how tea tree oil can save us!

Caution:- I would like to inform you, never to use tea tree oil directly on the skin. Even if you buy the product, the caution will be listed supreme on the package. Mix it with some other carrier oil and use it in limited, especially around eyes, as it is always concentrated. The ratio of tea tree essential oil and carrier oil should be 1:12.

Without wasting a minute ahead, lets read all the quick tips.

1. Treating dry and oily skin

As soon as we all heard about the pandemic of 2019, sanitizers and hand wash were the brave weapon which we had. Gradually, after consistent use of these harmful things, I experienced my skin breaking out and dry. I turned to find and do something with aloe vera and tea tree oil. Aloe is good for moisturizing and protecting and tea tree oil helps dry scalp, so it must help the skin as well, and to my surprise, they helped me !
Mix tea tree oil with aloe Vera gel/cream. Apply it everyday to make the gel/cream more effective to help your dry/oily or mixed type of skin.

2. Sun Burns and Itchy Skin

It’s summer and if you’re bound to go out, the sun burns won’t leave your side. Some of us have sensitive skin that escalates itchy skin and rashes. Mix fuller earth with tea tree oil and make a paste. Apply it everyday and see the rashes gone!

3. Dandruff and Scalp treatment

Whenever I face dandruff, since the day I discovered tea tree oil, I have been using it as a healer. I apply coconut oil before hair wash, I just add a few drops of tea tree oil in it and apply it and leave for 20–30 minutes and wash off. I experienced smooth and dandruff free hair!

4. Acne treatment

Change of season gives me pimples and most of the girls experience acne during puberty hits. If you have witch hazel oil, you can mix both and apply. Incase you don’t have it, you can even try aloe vera or simply mix tea tree oil with a moisturizer.

5. Dry cuticles

One of my friend regularly experiences dry cuticles and unhealthy nails. I suggested her to give a try to tea tree oil. She mixed a few drops with a regular moisturizer and in two weeks she could see the results! If you experience the same, why not give it a try?

6. Remove skin tags

The extra skin, forms skin tags of dead cells. It is natural and must be avoided by keeping your body clean and drinking water generously for a healthy you. But if incase you still face any type of skin tag, you can either dilute tea tree and apply it on your skin tag or mix it with aloe Vera so that it gets dry and sheds easily.

Always do a patch test for tea tree.

Have a lovely day 🙂
